TRANSITIONS announces our new fun fund!
We think St. Albert & Sturgeon County are great places to live and work and we want you to help it become even better.
Who can apply?
Anyone affiliated with Transitions: volunteer, individual we support, parent/guardian/relative of individual we support, member and/or employee can submit an application.
What are the requirements?
Just about any idea could work as long as it involves you and someone new and can happen right away.
We ask that you fill out the attached application form (or make a tape recording) and send it in to us. A community coach will meet with you to go over your idea. Up to $100 will be awarded to each approved project.
Once approved, you carry out your project. You are then asked to tell your story at a celebration of all participants.

That's it!
This is really about doing something fun and of great interest to you. It's also a chance to share your passion with like minded individuals in our community. That in turn makes us a better community.
What are some examples of projects?
 | Start a neighbourhood street hockey team & challenge others |
| Organize a spring street cleaning day with the neighbours & have a pizza in the park party afterwards |
| Have a "Karaoke For Cancer" evening at the Youth Center to raise money for research |
| Get together for a "Go Fly A Kite" day in the park |
| Start the "Red Willow Park Rollers" to bring together people who use wheelchairs, strollers, bicycles, skateboards & in-line skates for a trail rally |
| Build bird and bat houses for our parks tart a Neighborhood Watch or Block Parent Program in your neighbourhood. |
